Graves to Gardens

This piece was drawn in memory of my friend, mentor, and brother, Cody Ryan, but it's for every warrior who's no longer with us.

The design shows a coffin leaned against a wall, weapons laid down for the last time. Through the coffin shines the Garden of Eden, a glimpse of paradise not earned by war, but opened by grace. In the garden, he walks free.

Around the coffin it reads:
“Better to be a warrior in a garden...”
This is a play on the famous quote by samurai swordsman - Miyamoto Musashi "Better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener in a war" The saying is heavily used in our roots of the gun club, although it rings true, it has another deeper meaning... 

The way to that garden is through Jesus Christ the One who conquered death, carried our burdens, and leads us to life everlasting. 

This isn’t just a shirt.
It’s a statement. A memorial. A testimony.
That no warrior is forgotten.
And no victory is greater than the one He won for us.
